Youth Steering Council (YSC)
This youth initiative teaches and encourages youth to make positive change in their community. The NWLRC works closely with the YSC to keep in touch with youth & community needs. Youth contribution is vital to NWLRC.
Northwest London Food Bank Depot
This depot is provided to bring the services of the London Food Bank closer to the residents of Northwest London. It happens on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 10am – 3:30pm.
Emergency Food Cupboard, Baby Food and Diaper Bank
These supplies are available by appointment for Northwest London residents only (postal code must start with N6G or N6H). Cupboard usage is restricted to once every two months.
Mall Walking Club
As part of the Active Neighbourhoods 2010 initiatives, an indoor walking club was created and continues to run every Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. Participants are encouraged to walk at their own pace. Come out and get active this year!
Seniors Social Activities
On Thursday afternoons seniors can come to socialize, play card games such as bridge, and enjoy the opportunity to just have fun! 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Super Kids After-School Program
Monday to Friday at Wilfrid Jury Public School. Great place to meet friends, eat and prepare healthy snacks and get involved in a variety of physical fitness activities. Supported by the Ministry of Health Promotion and Sport.
Northwest Teens
Mondays and Wednesdays 3:00 – 5:30 p.m. at Medway Recreation Centre. Nutrition education, snack preparation, guest speakers, sporting activities and physical fitness training. Supported by the Ministry of Health Promotion and Sport and The City of London.
